How to Help

Celebrating the City of Fairfax’s rich cultural identity creates pride in our community and makes it a place where people want to live, work and visit. Preserving our historic structures helps future generations understand the past. We cannot afford to lose our history – it needs to be protected and preserved.

If you like history and want to assure that the Fairfax Story continues to be told, there are several ways you can help.

Membership

HFCI is a non-profit corporation— a 501c(3) organization. Your membership helps fund preservation of our historic structures and cultural identity. Become a HFCI Member.

Volunteer Opportunities

Invest your talents and help preserve our history for future generations. Join other volunteers working to carry out HFCI’s mission.

Be a Docent at the:

  • Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center
  • Blenheim Civil War Interpretive Center
  • Ratcliffe-Allison House
  • Historic City Walking Tours

Be a Volunteer for:

  • Special Events
  • Exhibit and Research Projects
  • An HFCI Committee

Recognition Bricks

Remember a loved one or your family by purchasing a brick inscribed with your name and be recognized for eternity in front of the Fairfax Museum.  The bricks are $100 each and customizable.
